ITS Engineering and UMnet will be installing a Distribution Layer (DL) switch located in the Science Learning Research Center, room 2027.
A new Cisco DL switch will be installed in the building prior to the cutover date and connected to the new core backbone.
On the day of the cutover, FSU will swing all the endpoint connections from the existing AL switches to the new DL switch which has been populated via automation.
The actual work is expected to take up to 2 hours with a portion of the maintenance window reserved for testing.
