ITS Engineering and UMnet will be replacing the Distribution Layer (DL) switch located in the Engineering Lab Building, room 1117.
A new Cisco DL switch will be installed in the building prior to the cutover date and connected to the new core backbone.
On the day of the cutover, FSU will swing all the endpoint connections from the old DL switch to the new DL switch which has been populated with all the relevant information from the old switch via automation.
The actual work is expected to take up to 2 hours with a portion of the maintenance window reserved for testing.
